Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll need a legible copy of your original sales receipt to complete your redemption. If you’ve misplaced it, you can often retrieve your in‑store receipt through your The Home Depot account by following the steps through your The Home Depot account:

  1. Log in to Your Account
Visit The Home Depot website or open the app and navigate to the Purchase History page in your account.
  2. Find Your Purchase
All purchases made with credit or debit cards linked to your account will appear here. Locate the specific purchase you need and click on it to view details.
  3. View the Receipt
In the purchase details, click “View Receipt” to see an image of the original cash register receipt.
  4. Add a Missing Card to Your Profile
If the receipt you’re looking for isn’t listed in your Purchase History, your card may not be linked to your profile. Go to the Cards & Accounts page and add your credit or debit card – once added, purchases made in the last 24 months with that card will automatically appear in your Purchase History.

Note: Purchases made using a mobile wallet (e.g., Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay) will not show, as they utilize a different card number that cannot be added to your profile. By following these steps, you can quickly retrieve your receipt for in-store purchases.

We’re only able to process redemption requests that are complete, clear, submitted on time, and match an eligible SKU while supplies last. Be sure to upload your receipt (for purchases made before 7/8/26) by the submission deadline of 7/22/26 to avoid any issues.

Here are some tips to ensure a successful upload of your photo:

  • Use a flat, dark surface to take a photo of your receipt.
  • Capture your entire receipt in one shot.
  • No cutting your receipt. If your receipt is too long, you may fold it accordion-style to capture all required items.
  • Accepted formats include JPG, PNG, HEIC, or PDF file format under 10MB.

If your photo upload still isn't working, you can easily access your in-store receipt through your The Home Depot account:
